Spring is almost here in Winnebago IL! Thursday starts a whole new season and we at at Freedlund Family Chiropractic & Nutrition, couldn't be more happy about it! I was working in my yard this past weekend and the destruction of winter was all around me. There was garbage, leaves, shingles, and branches everywhere. It looked like pure chaos. Truth be told I still had my Christmas Tree in the stand in my backyard along with some plastic candy canes and lights. It felt so good to be out in the sunshine picking it up and making it look like the yard it was before the snow, ice, and freezing rain hit.

Sometimes I think our bodies are like my backyard. We go through seasons where life is tough. It can be hard emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The wind and ice and gray days get to be too much and we find ourselves wondering what we need to change to get out of the rut. Spring is exciting because it's new and things come to life again. The various shades of green break through the decaying leaves and tulip bulbs start to emerge. The Robins come back (I had 20 in my front yard on Friday) and their happy chirping begins.
